6 Months 1 Week – Learning Through Novel Experiences

”Roman Since we get set in a day to day routine sometimes we forget to introduce novel experiences to our children.  With these new experiences comes new language!  And we personally think the earlier the better!

It is important for infants to see new sights, touch new textures, hear new sounds, smell new smells, and taste new foods!

”RomanDuring these novel experiences don’t be afraid to make a big deal out of it and draw attention to the details.  “Wow!!  Do you see the bubbles Roman?  We can pop them!  Good popping!  Did your hands feel sticky? That was fun!”

Some of our favorite places that encourage new language include:

Museums

Restaurants

Getaways/Vacations

Public Transportation

Music, Art, Movement, & Language Classes

Playgrounds

Libraries

Playdates

Shows

Festivals

Amusement Parks

And much much more!  Look into your city and town community websites to take advantage of all that is out there!  Get out of your comfort zone and try something new each week… Happy exploring! 🙂
